Ein Hallraum ist ein spezieller Laborraum der Akustik, der so aufgebaut ist, dass der Schall von allen Wänden zu einem sehr hohen Anteil reflektiert wird und sich gleichmäßig im Raum verteilt. Der so erzeugte starke Nachhall mit langer Nachhallzeit eignet sich sehr gut für schalltechnische Untersuchungen, z.B. um den Schallabsorptionsgrad von Materialien zu ermitteln.
