An unusually large number of companies took part in the Red Dot design competition this year. We at objectiv are therefore all the more pleased about the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 for the objectiv Smart ceiling acoustic panel.

With the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021, the objectiv Smart ceiling acoustic panel receives a renowned design prize that is considered one of the most coveted seals of quality for good design.

About the Red Dot Design Award

In a procedure lasting several days, the products submitted from around 60 countries were evaluated by independent experts. Evaluation criteria such as formal quality, ergonomics and durability served as an orientation.

The objectiv Smart ceiling acoustic panel came out on top and convinced the jury in terms of design quality and degree of innovation.

Sustainable strategy

The sustainability of the objectiv Smart acoustic panel is also special. Already during production, we use only pure, easily separable and recyclable materials and no glue. The absorber is made of 100% recyclable PET and is free of glass or rock wool. The frame is made of high-quality powder-coated aluminium. New is the objectiv “Take Back” system: we guarantee a Germany-wide, free take-back of our Smart products including collection and recycling for 20 years from the date of purchase.

We are delighted to receive this prestigious design award. From 21 June 2021, the objectiv Smart ceiling acoustic panel will be on display in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website. On 22 June 2021, the Red Dot Design Week will also start, during which this year’s award winners and with them objectiv will be honoured digitally. The Red Dot Design Yearbook 2021/2022 will be published in August. This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the state of the art as well as trends in product design.
